Is this morbid?

When my grandma passes she will be cremated. We all decided that we will all provide a container of our choosing to put a little of her cremains in for our own little memorial of sorts. She has 11 kids,26 grandkids, and 7 great grandchildren,so who she ended up with has been a debate so this is how we decided it.
I chose a wooden box that I painted green and decorated with beads. Green is her favorite color. :)

  • it's not morbid at all - it sounds like acceptance and love to me.

  • I think its a better idea than having the family in a war of the remains. This way everyones needs are met! I think its a great idea..

  • It's not morbid. And it makes perfect sense to make the plans now. It helps to do it now, so there isn't a huge fight when she does die.

  • No,It's not morbid.I carried a little glass bottle that had a cork in it with my brother-in-laws ashes in it.I put it on my purse. One day I looked down & the glass was broken. So a little bit of his ashes is scattered around town somewhere.

  • ...Uh, has Grandma died? I would maybe focus on spending valueable time with her, instead of planning on how you will cope.
