Any runners out there?

Okay Moms Im looking at trying to get into running. I think it would be fun and would liek to do a 5k. Ive never ran before so can someone please tell me what I may need to know.

  • most important thing IMPO is to get fitted for the right kind of shoe for your feet. You will help prevent injuries this way. Also start slow. I would do 2 miles a day at 8 minutes a mile. You need to gradually work your way up. I was in great shape & I found this to be very helpful to me. Stretch before & after. Also stay hydrated & as well as eating right. Lots of lean protein.

  • yes couch to 5K program is good. You can look it up onlline. It will take u thru walking and running til you build your endurance. Good luck!

  • yes, I love running and some of my friends are doing the couch to 5k plan and it has helped them tremendously! I will run no more than 3 miles though just for fun. ha!

  • Google Galloway walk/run plan. Get fitted for some good shoes. The heat is a killer for runners
