I have 2 raw pork chops in the fridge , I think they have been there about a week. Are they still ok to eat? There is no discolouration or smell, but I am not sure because I never cook pork.

I also keep track of dates but I heard on some food segment if the food is cooked at a high enough temp it will kill whatever has made it go bad.It will taste like blek but safe.I am chicken and toss when in doubt.
