  • We used a Graco Snugride. We got it from a (trusted, first-owner) friend, so it didn't cost us anything, but it's one of the more affordable ones. We liked it. My first was still able to use it at a year old; my second would have outgrown it between 9 and 12 months, but we moved her to a convertible before that happened anyway. :)

  • I have a Graco Snugride 32. We paid about $200 for it and the stroller to go with it.

  • I am a certifed tech so maybe I can help you. What is your budget? Will this seat be for a newborn?

  • Oh thank god Luvs! Yes, it will be for a newborn. We both drive mid-size sedans (buick regal and ponitac bonneville). I'm hoping to spend $100 and under if possible. I don't need a travel system.

Also for people that answer...please tell me if you like them! Thanks!

  • I also have the Snugride 32 and love it! I bought it from Kohls online with a 30% off coupon, and earned $10 Kohl's cash for each $50 I spent. The 30% off coupons are generic whenever they come out (one just ended, but they come out pretty frequently) so I would do internet searches for them if you want to do what I did.

  • I'm really happy with the Graco. It's kind of heavy. That's my only complaint.

  • If that is your budget I would suggest the regular Graco Snugride. Not the 35 or the 32 because those will be more pricey.

  • The Snugride 32 is a little more expensive but regular Graco snugrides are easy to find for under $100 and great carseats. I got the 32 because it fits longer, 32 inches and 32 lbs instead of 29 inches and 22 lbs. For my kids that difference adds probably 6 to 9 months onto how long they will fit the carseat. It is bigger and bulkier though. The only thing I would recommend looking for is the front adjuster strap. I did a really quick search and found one on Walmart.com with the front adjuster for only $65.

  • Good search! Thank you Mybella! I think I'll go to Walmart tomorrow and see that their selection is. I like to touch the fabric to make sure it's comfy and not plastic baggish.
