I have a sneaking suspicion you can get similar results with regular weights. All that stuff is so gimmicky, just like the toning shoes. There's no quick-fix or easy solution. I have fairly toned arms, and I've gotten there by doing weight workouts twice per week, about 40 minutes each session with dumbbells. I imagine if you haven't been doing ANYTHING, then the shake weights would be better than nothing, at least temporarily, but you'd "master" them pretty quick and would need to start using heavier weights anyway to continue to firm and build muscle.
