Would you support your local town erecting a Wiccan or Pagan Monument in the town square or park?

An Atheist Activist in Marion, IL has decided to sue his local city if they decide to erect a 10 Commandments Monument on City ground and refuse to erect a similar monument for Wiccan beliefs.

While I think this is a bit extreme - seeing how he's not even Wiccan - it made me wonder how many would actually support a Public Pagan or Wiccan - or even Atheistic - Monument, should he win his battle.

  • I don't think that the publics money should be used that way, at all.. not the commandments or any other religions idols.

  • Personally, I also believe that CITY property should be kept religion free. That said, if they are going to erect one, they should have the same respect for any who wants to be recognized... Including "alternative" religious groups...

Also, correction to my question - he is an Atheist Activist, but is a newly converted Wiccan...

  • I am not going to financially support any. However...If they want to put a Wiccan, Pagan, Christian, Satanist, Buddhist...Whatever, I don't give a rats ass either way. Go for it.

  • Nope. If a cross can't be there, neither can anything else. Religious or non religious.
