Why can't we just not allow our kids to...

get older? I would love to be able to say "I'm sorry baby, you can't grow up this year. You're not allowed to turn 5 yet, I'm not ready!!"

Although I can't wait to see what's in store for her, she's growing up SO FAST!!!

  • I told my DS once that he had better stop growing or else, and he looked at me like I was stupid and said, "It's your fault. You are the one who makes me eat vegetables and healthy stuff." He was 4 at the time. LOL He has a point.

  • I agree! Mine turned 2 a few days ago... I'm not ready for her to become a big girl yet! I'm loving these days, and I do not want them to end.

  • I just wish there was a time machine. I'm excited by each new thing as they grow up, but the other day I was looking back at my daughter's baby pictures and just longing to be able to pick that sweet baby up and know what she felt like again. :( I still have a 6 month old boy I can hold, but I know the next 6 months will go just as fast as this 6 months went and pretty soon he won't be a baby anymore.

  • Awww, I know what you mean. While I love watching my son grow, it's sad at the same time.

  • HaHa... I'm the opposite. I can't wait for my kids to grow up. I'm so glad we are past those baby years and now just can't wait to hit school age!
