so i told my son's dad that i have to put him on child support because of public assistance. he hasnt called me back since not even to check on the well being of his son. now im saying i should never have told him. and i know once we go to court he is going to lie and say he doesnt have a job so he can just be obligated to pay like $50 dollars or week or something. im beginning to believe he never cared about his son if he is mad over this.

  • he can lie to the court all he wants, but they will find out and he'll screw himself. If he works under the table, and you want to be cruel, you can turn him in for it..

just do what you have to do for you and your son.. if he can't handle if, then that's his problem, and let the courts sort it out.

  • If he doesn't have a job the court will make him get one

  • The court will investigate his employment status, you don't have to ;)

  • If you can get proof or can prove that he is working and making money then go into court with that. No matter if he cares about the baby or not he still has to pay child support. Gl to you and your baby.

  • I'm sorry you hav to go through this. Looks like you're beginning to see his true colors. So long as he has had to pay income taxes, they'll know whether he is employeed or not.

  • If you have a prior agreement or he was paying you money he might be upset that you went to the state. But, if he wasn't already giving you money he has no reason to be upset.

  • Just let the court handle it,and it depends on where you live if they make him get a job.
