gov grants student loan..........

ok so im going back to school
my grandma said she would help me pay till she found out what school i was going to
so i applyed for a student loan
even with the gov grants and student loan i still need to come up with
$1,533 and they said i could make pay ments of $200 a month
i will be going to school full time so it will be hard for me to get a job
and daycare for my daughter
does anyone know a way i can get the money i need?

  • go to the fafsa website, they have a lot of resources. also, what school are you going to? if it's a local community college, or a university, they should have a financial aid department that could help you do a scholarship search. considering your age, and the fact that you're a teen mother, there may be a scholarship available to you, as long as you keep you grades up. Also, depending on what field you're going into (such as teaching or nursing) there might be grants available. A couple of years ago I went back to school and went through the displaced homemakers program and they gave us a lot of really valuable information. If you need any help, feel free to PM me.

  • You could try scholarships. You can also ask for supplemental grants.that you might qualify for if your income is lower.
    The school would probably accept $50 a month if you explain your situation.
    A huge garage sale would help come up with some of the money.

    I wouldn't be surprised if the school has scholarships for low income students. Just ask around!
