Can people change?

I love this guy. I really truly love him. But he is not boyfriend material. He's damaged and treats women like toys. But I know he cares about me. So is it possible for him to change and not treat me like all the other ones? Oh and he doesn't treat me bad now. I'm just not sure he'll ever be capable of a relationship.

  • They can change but on their own terms only, and it usually takes awhile. Change will not happen overnight.

  • Sorry, but I have to say no in this case. Just my opinion, so good luck.

  • I've never seen it. They might briefly change for a few days, weeks, or even months, but sooner or later, they will change back.

  • I have to say that IMO, people can change but only if they want to. Usually it is just a show that people put on for as long as it takes to get what they want and then they return to their old ways.

  • I don't believe people change, but they are capable of growth. Behavior can be altered by time, experience, etc. but what we've done is part of who we are. Be guarded if what you say is true.

  • Nope, he will not change........I will never forget the advice my father gave me when I met my husband at the age of 15............He said, "The boy you love now, will be the man you love later"..........My own father was telling me as a man himself, that men are the same NO MATTER WHAT AGE......good luck, sister......
