Wednesday, this girl posted on Topix.net that she was looking for a way to kill herself. She did it. They found her body today. Here is both links. What could have been done, or do you think anything at all? It sickens me to think that someone could have prevented this.

I don't know how much could have been done. If she was being completely honest with everyone about what she had done, one of the posters responding to her was right. ODing on Tylenol can be worse if you survive it even initially, too much can do organ damage and she may have died a slow painful death. She seemed very determined to do what she set out to do, so there is no telling if any emergency responders could have made it on time to save her, even if only for a while (because of the tylenol). A lot of the posters responding to her tried to talk her out of it, she seemed very determined. I feel bad for the people she left behind.

Oh, and in response to the comments that jerk made (giving her other suggestions of ways to do herself in), first, understand that I am not defending him. The problem is that in a multimedia setting it's hard to know who is being serious and who is lying to get attention. I am willing to bet that more people lie than are telling the truth when it comes to killing themselves (talking about it on a public forum). It was extremely insensitive and I would always err on the side of caution, even if I didn't think the situation was real.
