what is a parenting plan?

I see a lot of posts complaining that the police won't enforce parenting plans, and often mentions that they are 'court ordered'

so what exactly are these parenting plans, and what is the point of something like this being court ordered if there's no way to enforce it?

  • I think that a parenting plan is
    1) perhaps a custody agreement that has been court ordered.
    2) perhaps a plan for the parents to help in controlling an unruly child.

Either way I do not see how we can expect our police officers to make parents abide. I guess they can take them back to court and have the judge make some additional rulings to try and have this "plan" enforced and followed.

  • Never heard of a 'parenting plan'. I suppose this is something brought about by the court system in an effort to help slacker parents raise their kids? Maybe an "instruction book", if you will.
