  • Sit down and think about the problem at hand and see what you can do different.

  • you may not be able to think of the situation different
but you can feel differrent about the person

ex. feel sorry for them, feel like they need therapy, feel that you can not have that person in your life, etc

  • As long as the situation is something you are willing to see differently. Don't compromise your beliefs or needs simply because the other person isn't willing to bend.
I think the first step is realizing that there is nothing you can do anymore to affect the situation.

  • Just because the situation and people can't change does not mean you have to change your outlook. You do not have to change anything about yourself in order make a situation seem better. Keep your ground, keep who you are. If and when things blow up, then you will be able to keep your head about you. If you start changing your opinions and outlooks because other people aren't willing to change, then you will start to lose yourself and be taken off guard when things don't go the way everyone else expected. By keeping your ground, you will be better prepared for what can happen.
