  • thats the most asked question here on CafeMom. And everybody gets the same answer: YES.

You can always get pregnant. Before, while and after your period.

  • You can only get pregnant if you're ovulating and that usually takes a couple weeks from the last day of your period to ovulate.

  • This question is confusing. Two days after you started bleeding or two days after you stopped bleeding? The ONLY time you ovulate is 14 days after the FIRST day of your period. For example if you got your period on October 1, you would ovulate on the 14th. But because sperm can live inside a woman for up to 72 hours, you could have sex the 11t,12th,and 13th and still get pregnant. Good Luck!

  • Well not every woman has the same cycle. And if it didnt work for your Imogine, then im sorry. Worked just fine for me tho and billions of other women. You -CAN- always get pregnant.

    Common sense.

  • Ooo sorry incorrecto...although 14 days is AVERAGE every woman is different. If you are trying to get pregnant try charting your fertility signs, that can help you know your cycle and pin pint EXACTLY when YOU ovulate each month. You drs office always calculates your conception date as exactly 14 days after your last period but unfortunately thats not always accurate. And if you are doing fertility treatments it can be really detrimental to just assume you are "average" The book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler is EXCELLENT! It will show you exactly what to do.

  • I was replying to the answer that stated you only ovulate on the 14th day, not the one that sd you can get preggo anytime.

  • To Imogine: Just because some women can get preggo at certain times doesn't mean you can. Everyone is different so don't feel bad!! That's why it's a good idea to chart and get more info that is specific to you and your body!! It may be that you are just having sex at the wrong time. You may just need to adjust by a few days and BINGO! That's what happened to me!
