  • Is she breast or formula fed? Breastfeeding babies can go a very long time without pooping. If she is formula fed, you will need to find a different brand.

  • What are you feeding her? If it's formula, is it iron fortified? Talk to your Dr- she might need a different formula, or if she's Breast feeding, you may need to give her a suppository.

  • She is formula fed. I already switched her to the Gentlease formula and it hasn't helped much. She's still extremely gassy and can't go to the bathroom and when she finally does it's hard at first then soft.

  • Massage her tummy, give a warm bath and bicycle her legs.
It's FINE if she doesn't poop everyday. If she is breastfed she can go 1- 2 WEEKS without pooping, and it's fine. If she is formula fed she can go 2-3 days. She's not constipated until the poops come out hard little balls.
DON'T give any karo syrup or juice... she doesn't need it.

  • You are going to need to talk to her Dr and see if there is something he/she recommends.

  • Also ask the Dr about Mylicon drops or gripe water for decreasing gas-

  • Mylicon drops have done nothing. The only thing her doctor suggested is Kyro syrup. He said not to change her formula.

  • If you can find Gripe Water it would help greatly! We used it for both of my kids and it worked wonders. It is usually found in a chinesse store and is all natural or try looking it up online. Also rub her belly in a circle to stimulate digestin and decrease gas. I o this on kids and even grown ups in my practice and it helps a great deal.

  • Is she other wise fussy? Make sure you are giving her tummy time, as well as bicycling her little leggers.
