  • No, you will get your period while breast feeding to be sure, and you may not have been done bleeding.

  • I have not had one yet but I know lots of people who have. How many people do you know who have a sibling less then a year older or younger? That happens a lot! But I'd be careful about situps or exercises until you talk to your doc, just in case.

  • at 3 weeks postpartum you shouldnt be doing situps yet. you probably reopened a healed tear or injury. you should give it a full 5-6 weeks before you are doing any strenuos workouts, i would say that walking is the only thing i did before 6 weeks.

  • I had my period like clock work, and I exclusively breast fed. No bottles, no pumps, no supplementing. Not all of us are so fortunate :(

I always got my first cycle 3-5 weeks postpartum.

  • I stopped bleeding two days after I got home and aske my OB if that was normal. She said that I should be thankful, but don't be suprised if I start bleeding again if I'm overdoing it....unfortunately I started again....obviously doing more than I should.

  • Some people do not get a period while breastfeeding. But lots of moms do get it.

It would seem to me that you were not finished bleeding completely and you are doing too much with the situps. relax and start your situps after you get the go ahead from your doctor.

    Congratulations on your new LO.

  • It sounds like it is from doing situps more than a period. You are not fully healed from childbirth.
