  • I'd leave before the kids grow up with all kinds of issues

  • That is so sad. I hope that you realize you and your children deserve better than that.

  • Leave him get custody or you can even start before you leave first things first get a restraining order. If you have no where to go to be safe try a shelter for women they are not as bad as you might think. They can get you a job housing etc. free laundry and food most of all they are SAFE.

  • Mothers should not have to make an excuse for their children to love their father

  • thats a hard question to answer because i dont know all info like is he drunk. maybe you can tell him how they feel unless that will make him mad dont tell him. try to keep the kids away by giving them activities like in a dif room or have them help you wit dinner so they wont be near him. but you might have to someday leave before the kids get used to that and when they become adults treat thier mate that way or find a spouse that acts that way. just when he not around let them no what he is saying is wrong and he dont no what he is saying and give them compliments and praise you have to do your best to keep them happy. you dont want them to get mad at you for not being on their side or defending them or yourself especialy when they get older GOOD LUCK.

  • You inform the dad that he is an ass and let him know the kids don't even like him. See how he reacts.

  • like one of the other mothers said how you shouldnt have to give your kids an excuse to like their dad. i agree and i dont think you should try to do that. because as young as they are at least they no they should not be treated like that and if you make them try to like their dad they just gonna think its ok for people to treat them that way and they will deal with it and then they wont no how to stick up for themselves even in elementary school

  • Kids base their thinking on what they see and if it doesn't seem right to them they will point it out. You don't want to discourage them from thinking that if someone close to them isn't doing things properly that it's okay. They will be learning by example. I don't think you need to make excuses but use situations as teaching lessons in life which will prepare them for later in life. Unless, it's too adult like for them to understand, that would be an exception to the rule.
