Do your nails break easily?

My nails are brittle. I've never been able to grow them long. I've seen others whose nails were so long they had trouble typing. But they were their real nails that they were able to get grow that way.

  • You need more protein and iron in your body.
Chicken, fish, steak, spinach and other dark greens. Plus they can't be fried, grilled, boiled or baked.
    Nails are just hair/dead protein.

Nails and hair are as healthy as the person is.

  • Mine do not break easily and I have chronic anemia. Out of all the things I inherited from my maternal side of the family, this was one of the best.

  • We drink a lot of milk. I've heard that milk & jello help too. (Jello is also good for broken bones healing faster) Also, try putting a clear coat polish on them to help protect them from breakage.

  • They do, especially when I wet my hands a lot. They did get a little stronger after I had my daughter.

  • My nails are real and long and weak.  I keep them polished at all times using base coat and top coat that helps to keep them stronger.  Winter is when I get the most breaks.  I keep my hands warm and moisturised and I take vitamin D which helps to encourage growth.
