Do you think that FB or any of these other websites that allow one on ones or private messages to happen between people can be a vehicle for cheating

Hi I am very curious on how you'll MOm's feel about if you or your spouse is on websites communicating with strangers or even former friends, do you think that this all can lead to infidelity issues within a marriage???

  • Anytime you have any contact with a person other than your spouse, the opportunity for it to lead to infidelity is there. If a person is going to cheat, they are going to find a way to do it (regardless of how unconscious they may be to this), and it's not going to make a difference how they meet the other person, they will.

  • Of course these things can be a vehicle for cheating. Anything can be misused, if one is motivated to do so.

  • It could lead to infidelity but also could not. Just depends on the person IMO.

  • Of course it can, just as the phone or regular email can be. If someone wants to cheat, they are going to figure out a way to do it.

  • Anything you do apart from your spouse could be a vehicle for cheating. You just need to be actively protecting your marriage and things will be fine from your end.

  • Sure it can, but my opinion is it probably would have happened anyway. Marriage isn't about what friends you have it's about how you treat each other.

  • Sure, but it depends on the person! Cheaters are a certain breed of person. Those who would never consider it are another! :o)
