How can I get gum off of clothes?

My son stuck chewed gum in his pocket, so it is stuck on both sides. What is the best way to remove it?

  • lol THis makes me think of that Imagination Movers episode where Smitty and Rich get stuck with the super glue. STick it in the freezer and it should peel right off. THat's kind of waht they did.

  • my mom always held a pice of ice to the gum until it froze then tore it off quickly. you could also go grab some goo gone stuff

  • ice. rub ice on the fabric where the gum is stuck and it should come right off. frozen gum isn't sticky :)

  • Peanut butter works great for getting it out of hair. The natural oils in it break down the gum for easy removal but I am not sure how it would work on fabric.

  • If the ice doesn't work, try rubbing peanut butter on it. The pb may leave a grease spot, but if it's the pocket it won't matter. FYI, it works in girl's hair too!

  • Thanks ladies! I already had the shorts in the freezer, so most of it came off just from being in the freezer. I used ice to get the rest.
