  • Some babies dont poop for 2-3 days. MY BF son took a whole week to pop at one point.

  • I think it's a few days before you worry. Bicycle his/her legs, give him/her a warm bath, and if you are really worried you can give 2oz of watered down apple or pear juice.

  • When mine were small and exclusively breastfed, they would go days with out pooping, which is normal. I'm not really sure besides that. Might call your doc in the morning, especially if he/she seems uncomfortable.

  • How old is your baby and what does he/she eat (formula? Breastfed? solids?)

  • Age and diet, please. It's likely nothing to be concerned about though.

  • It is normal for a breastfed baby to go more than a week without a bowel movement

  • It's not unusual for breastfeed babies to go several times a day or not for 10 or more days. The longer they go, the bigger the poo deployment. It isn't a cause for concern. It is not an indicator of constipation. You do not need to do anything unless a problem arises like straining and produce hard pebble like poop.

  • If your baby doesn't seem to be in pain, is able to burp and relieve gas he's probably ok. Another thing is if his tummy seems hard to the touch he could be constipated. I do infant massage to help encourage things to move along. As long as he's having his 6 or so wet diapers a day he should be doing fine.
