  • I would look at hotels.com, expedia.com, orbitz.com and get rates for hotels in the area. Most of the time discounts are listed. You can also then call the hotel of your choice and see if you get a better deal.

You can also try sites like choice hotels, motel 6, microtel, knights inn. a lot of chains will often offer a free breakfast, while not usually spectacular, will save a little on food.

  • It's a long shot, but have you tried to see if any of them offer a group rate / convention rate if you are coming in for a boot camp graduation? It's a long shot, but there is a chance.

Also, instead of checking just around the boot camp, try looking a little farther out, in neighboring towns or cities. You might have to drive a little farther, but the hotels / motels near the base know that there are graduations on a regular basis, and this is a huge source of income for them, and it's sort of like their "peak season", with higher rates, because they know that people will be coming in, and will pay that much... But, if you try a little farther out, you might have to drive farther, but you could save some money.

  • Look into extended stay hotels. Sometimes you can get a room for a week for a lower amount then what you would be paying for the four days.
