If you could only take out of your house?

If any of you who was facing the total loss of your home, from fire, flood, tornado, etc. What is the one thing that you could never leave behind? For me it would be a painting done by my Grandmother.

  • Well, I had this happen to me. My house burned down, and I found the only thing I cared to do was to get myself and my little sister out safely.

  • the most important non living object (of course I would choose my boyfriend, child, and pets first) would have to be my box of keepsakes I keep under my bed. :) After we had our dryer fire (which thankfully didn't do much damage) my boyfriend told me the first thing he'd grab after making sure me, the baby, and the pets were out would be his TV...because he doesn't have insurance on he's such a man sometimes lol.

  • Hmm.... I had a fire and learned that the stuff in your house are only things... As long as my kids, hubby and cats are ok... I'm good to go.
