What are the carseat laws in Florida. We are going there with our grandchildren. Ages 3, 5, and 8. We will be renting a car while there.

  • I also live in FL....the above answer is correct. The only thing I want to add is that if the 8 year old weighs less than 80 lbs then it is still recommended to use a booster.

  • I live in Florida the 3yr old has to be in a car seat, the 5yr old can be in a booster seat, and the 8yr old can use a seat belt.

  • good luck getting the 8 yr old to go along with that, but the little ones, if they are under 75 pounds are supposed to be in a car seat, from my understanding.
