Anyone else have a husband who is a grump in the mornings?

My husband is fine on the days he gets up at 5:30am to get ready for work. But on the weekends? 99% of the time he wakes up a grump! And that's after him sleeping in until 10 or 11 (sometimes even later). Sheesh! He's so snappy this morning.

  • My hubby is ususally the grump but it's all the time. He rarely is the silly, spur-of-the -moment, let things roll off his back kind of guy I knew 10 yrs ago. :\ I think it's his work. He's working way too much.

  • For sure!!! My husband is horrible about this. I swear it takes him at least an hour to really wake up and in the meantime I prefer to not even talk to him.

  • lovinangels, I WISH I could be the grump. But if I wake up grumpy, that makes him even grumpier. Personally, I think the person who sleeps in the longest doesn't have a right to wake up grumpy. LOL

  • My husband is always a grump in the morning. He is not a morning person. I let him sleep in as often as I can, and I let him sleep during the week so he will get up in the morning to go to work. I try not to let the baby cry too long, so he isn't woken up, because I don't want to deal with his crabbiness.

  • no not a grump, but he needs a few minutes to fully wake up so he is a bit quiet for about 10 minutes or so.
