toothache>>>> ideas for relief from pain

I looked up all these home remedies.-
Lemon juice (for vitamin C )
Garlic (for infection)
Clove oil (for infection)
Orange juice ( for vitamin C )
Warm salt - water rinses 3X / day
Black tea - bag soaked with warm water compress
And of course aspirin, tylenol, codeine, too many to list.

With the clove oil the articles are mentioning zinc oxide(white) to hold the oil in place

  • You forgot to mention the most important one-- go to the dentist to find out what is causing the pain-- and have him/her fix it! Pain is a sypmptom that something is wrong, take away the pain is a 1/2 measure as you will still have the problem that caused the pain to deal with.

  • Anbesol works well, and if you use Clove oil, use the cotton from a Q-tip or cotton ball to soak it in the oil and place on the tooth. If it's a visible hole in the tooth causing your pain it's an exposed nerve, temporary filling with seal it off and keep it from hurting, and krazy glue will also seal it off.
