epi pen disposal?

My DD has an egg allergy, and we are very lucky it is not severe but we have to carry the epi pen. We have not had to use it, but they expired, got the replacements but what do you do with the old ones? Toss them?

  • take them to a local CVS. most of them do safe disposal.

  • SHARPS container. Drug stores have them for like $3 and they can be put out with the trash

  • I take mine back to the pharmacy for proper disposal.

  • We give our expired epi's to the Dr or pharmacist to dispose of.
