Are you making Christmas presents this year?

Do you make your own presents? If so, what are you making?

  • I always make some if not most of our Christmas gifts, but I'm a crafty person. I can sew, knit, crochet, do woodworking, etc. For the guys, I've made flannel robes and matching boxers, a fishing pole rack, hats & mitts, stitched patterns on shirts like team logos, etc., quilts, and fleece blankets. For the ladies, a lighted potpourri bowl, sachets, quilted tablerunners, crocheted doilies, afghans, quilts, slippers, stitched patterns on shirts like hummingbirds, cardinals, flowers, etc, knitted shrugs/shawls. For the kids, I've made a Hot Wheels play village and a farm set using plastic canvas, Barbie furniture, Barbie clothes, pajamas, a knitted fuzzy poncho, personalized tote bags, hats/scarves/mitts, stitched shirts with their favorite character logo, throw pillows with character logos, fuzzy throw pillows, quilts. I also make molded candies and goodies to pass out, along with beautiful jeweled ornaments.

  • I try to make Christmas presents every year. I don't know what I'll be up to this year, but in past years I have made cookies, soup-in-a-jar, painted pottery stuff at the paint-your-own-pottery studios, Tshirts (painted and emroidered), little felt dolls, crossstitched stuff, and jewelry.

  • Nope. I've never been one to like crafts... To me they always look cheesy and cheap...

  • I think that this year I will make candy. Everyone seems to love it when I make Candy and No bake cookies and put them in cute little decorative jars.

  • I am a professional potter, but am not giving pots as gift, I did for several years. People always say they can never get enough, but I feel bad about giving the same stuff every year.

I am making some custom bibs for our new baby niece, but that is all I am making for gifts.

  • Last year I loom knitted scarves and booties for around the house.. they were soo comfy! This year I might quilt some placemates. And for the little ones some scrappy owls. They are cute. Found them in the Crafts n things magazine.

  • I'm making my daughter a quilt for her twin sized bed, my cousin is wanting Arkansas razorback pillowcases and Im going to make her a "tie" blanket out of razorback fleece...My little sister (who is 7) likes the pillowcase dresses Ive been making so I'll probably make her a couple dresses. I also make hairbows so I'll probably make some for my little sister and for my husbands little cousins who are small.
