Are you a late arriver at events

What's your take on attending any event on time?
Do you really feel it's okay to arrive late or are you the type of person
to arrive on time or w/in 15 minutes of the event????

  • I feel people who are consistently late are just inconsiderate of the hostess of the event. Unless it's a picnic or something where it doesn't matter if you are on time. My SO is always late. I am usually within 10 minutes of start time. Sometimes we take two cars because we are going to fight if we don't.

  • It depends on the event. If someone is counting on me or investing their time in me then yes I feel it's important to be on time. If it's just a party or somewhere I'm at just to show face or socialize or whatever then I don't think it matters as much and I don't rush.

  • My sister is ALWAYS late. Today we were going to the movie, the movie was to start at 1pm, she showed up at my house at 12:57, and I live at least 15 minutes from the theater. UGH!

I always try to be a little early, I hate walking in late.

  • It depends on the event. If it is a casual party that says from a certain time to a certain time, I don't feel I have to be there the second it starts. If I am going to a party for someone I know well, I do show up early to help.

  • Anything past on time is rude and inconsiderate. Is it really that hard to be on time, if not early? No! I can honestly say I have been late once in my life, only because I overslept (even then it was only by 5 min). Im a pretty laid back person but even I think only being early or at least on time is acceptable.

  • It depends on what it is. I am almost always early by a few minutes. My family and my Inlaws are late to everything. It drives me insane!
