Anyone read the Crafts 'n Things magazine?

I picked up the October edition of Crafts n' things from my grocery store. I'm trying to make the scrappy owl on page 20. For the life of me I can't figure out how to sew the scraps on the body. It says they have an online tutorial with step by step pictures. However when I go to their website I can't find ANY step by step tutorials... Ahh.. Any help???

I don't have the magazine, but looks like you start with the bottom tier and then work your way up.

I did locate this blogger tutorial though http://kidgiddy.blogspot.com/

  • I agree, it looks like you start at the bottom and work your way up. Covering the last one you put on with the next up as you go up. Hope the sight you found is helpful.

  • Hi MKsers...

I'm Kerry - the one that designed the Scrappy Owl! I hope you did find my blog post - as I'm only now seeing this question and it's been a long time!

The strips are sewn on starting at the middle of the owl and working your way down. I'd love to see what you've made! Please visit me at anyone of the links below!
