Breastfeeding/ Pregnancy TMI

Does breastfeeding make your nipples change colors and stay darker? And does it make the veins in your breasts stand out more? Even if you have been doing it for like 6 months. I know these are also signs of pregnancy but I don't have a period since I am breastfeeding and I am not nauseous.

  • When I was breastfeeding, my nipples seemed to get darker. It didn't start to fade until after I stopped breastfeeding at 6 months.

  • Never made my nipples change color or remain darker, but yes the milk flow makes the veins more prominient.

  • Pregnancy makes these things happen. When you're no longer pregnant they fade.

  • I haven't noticed any difference after breastfeeding during the first 24 months. Even nowadays, my 10yr old will suckle.
