  • I'll go to Stride Rite for my daughter's school shoes. (she wears a uniform). She gets a whole year out of them, so I don't mind spending a little more. Then for play shoes I'll go to Pay Less, Foot locker, anywhere really.

  • Thrift stores, more often than not. Glenn is 2, and he grows out of shoes every 8 weeks or so, just like most other 2 year old boys. So I can get pretty much brand new shoes at the thrift store for a couple of bucks!

  • Target or payless, when they do the bogo. If I attempted footlocker, it would eat my food budget for the month

  • I like Stride Rite. They measure his feet and explain things to me. I think shoes are one of the most important things to buy right.

  • My DS loves the Ecko shoes, but now his feet are getting too big for the styles he really likes. I use Zappos.com mostly, they have great prices and a bigger selection than most of my local stores.

  • For good sturdy & supportive shoes, Stride Rite. For cute trendy stuff, Target. Some of the shoes they sell at Target are actually made by a subsidiary company of Stride Rite.
