  • If they are worth keeping because of their quality wash them really good and if that doesn't work, dump them.

  • buy new ones if it's really bad. I don't want to risk not killing whatever it was that made the kiddos sick in the wash. If it's just a little I was separately using as hot of water as possible and Lysol. Then I rewash with regular detergent to get rid of the Lysol smell.

  • I read your post to say Old bespreads, mattress and sheets with pee and poop on them... in the TWEENS catagory. Yeah, the trash and replacement mattress would be in a waterproof protector...sheets and blankets would beinexpensive. The bed would be checked daily. Washed and hung in the sun if possible. If an otherwise healthy 9-12 year old is pooping in the bed I sure hope a Dr. has been consulted.

  • grrr..just realized I misread 'puke and poop'..obviously someone is sick. Sorry. I would wash puke. If the poo is a lot..I would toss. Sorry about the misread.
