  • my girls used to have one in their room... it only caused trouble. lol. they are 4 and almost 3. they won't be having a tv in their room until they can buy one for themselves.

  • Never put a tv in a child's room, at any age!

  • No.

It disrupts sleep patterns, makes it harder for the child to fall asleep, and is a generally bad idea.

  • I would not for my kids, but that is your choice.

  • We have a tv for use with dvds only in my 3 1/2 year olds room. She can only use it when I put the movie in. It is not hooked up for tv.

  • (and to add... once they buy their own, there will be limitations. schoolwork suffers, they get it taken out. having trouble getting up in the morning, it's gone. etc. ) my girls were turning it on at night and falling asleep with it on. ya know that feeling you have when you fall asleep watching tv? the "it's way too loud and now i'm shakey" feeling.

  • My kids don't have TV's in their rooms (3 year old and 10 month old). We have a TV in the living room, family room and in our bedroom, that's enough TV's for this house! If they want a TV in their room when they get older, they can help pay for it and there will be rules attached to it. So that won't be for a long time ;-)
