  • the responses are going to get ugly and the Christians are gonna come out in hypocritical manner, making themselves look like asses, proving the quote true.

So because some people have no self-control everyone else should censor themselves around their instability? Sorry, not buying it. We've had controversial discussions here plenty of times, including ones started by IhartU, including ones that an infamous Jonesy, bloodborn, slipper-wearing harpie would troll and attempt to derail a dozen times a day. Nobody was forced to reply to this question - they weren't even required to read it. If there are certain people who can't handle the discussions she starts, they should exercise some self-control and not open her questions instead of bitching and whining about them every time she posts one.

  • I don't have a fondness for organized religion, but this isn't something I agree with or would ever repeat even in jest. There are a lot of good hearted people that follow Christian beliefs, just as there are in other religions.

  • No. There are a few that make the group look bad, but I refuse to believe it is the majority or to make these kind of statements about the group as a whole. By doing so we are just giving the few bad apples proof of how horrible us non believers and legitimizing some of the horrible things they say about us.

  • yes, I do find that to be a true statement!

  • I can see it as being true with most, but not with everyone.

  • I agree that sometimes...yes, that is true.

  • Yup

  • No, I don't. Sure, some Christians are asses....but so are some (insert religious group here). Same goes for Atheists.

I also don't agree with your statement that good-hearted Christians are the minority.

I see no point going through life with such a pessimistic attitude.

  • Galgirl explained the reason for Christ riding a donkey well.
Which makes the quote even more wrong and insulting.

  • Watch any televangelist shooting off his--or her--mouth in a $3000 suit and riding in limos and there is only one thing you can possibly think of. A jackass braying to the world. Riding Jesus right into a mansion and a heated doghouse for the pedigreed pooch. I had to stop giggling before I could answer this. Which was hard. LMAO!!!!!!
