first day at school

My son 11 got stung twice by wasps and his eye is swollen shut. Should I still send him to school?

  • If a doctor didn't think it was a big deal and left the ball in your court then I would send the kid. He is not contagious and usually first days are half days anyway.

  • no i wouldn't, let the boy heal and not risk getting teased by insensitive classmates on the 1st day

  • How does your son feel? The first day back is a big deal but he might be more concerned about his eye. I'd leave it up to him.

  • I think if he feels OK, then send him, but if he is not up to it let him stay home.
