How well do SPANX really work? I am not huge, but I have a belly unfortunately. How well do they really work in holding all of that in. How much do they really slim? Are they worth what I would pay for them?

  • I LOVE them! They really work. I have the ones that are shorts at the bottom and go all the way up to the bra. I also have the ones that are like underwear at the bottom and go all the way up. The underwear bottoms are more comfortable. They are quite expensive though! I wear them almost every day.

  • I took them back to the store. No different than anything else. I preferr Flexi's Fat Free Dressing from JC Penney. Much more comfortable.

  • Love them. But you can get a cheaper version at Target by the same person that originally created Spanx.

  • Never tried them, but would love to try them. I have a pooch and would like to look better in jeans since fall/winter is right around the corner!

  • I used 'em to get back into my non-maternity clothes from the day after I gave birth till I didn't need the "assistance" (about 2 weeks - at that point I'd had enough of maternity clothes, I wanted MY black, skull-covered wardrobe back). Spanx rock. :D

  • They do work well. I like the undershirt type. The ones that are like biker's shorts tend to push everything up and I end up with a muffin top.

  • They work, but if you have any sort of GI problems, DO NOT TRY THEM. I have IBS, and wearing fitted or tight clothing, including control top pantyhose or spanx makes my intestines go crazy.
