What is your pre-schooler's schedule?

Mine began at Head Start yesterday. I'm feeling a little wistful for some reason, LOL. I hope he's making friends while he's there, he hasn't had anyone to play with in almost a month. Anyway this is the schedule they gave me:

7:45-8:15 Wash Hands/Eat Breakfast/Journals
8:15-8:30 Brush Teeth/Carpet Time (puzzles, books, legos)
8:30-8:50 Circle Time (Stories, Learning Wall)
8:50-9:50 Center Time/Small Groups
9:50-10:00 Music/Bathroom
10:00-10:30 Outside Time
10:30-10:45 Circle Time/Wash Hands for Lunch/IMIL/Letter Wall
10:45-11:15 Eat Lunch
11:15 Pick up/Good-bye

What is IMIL? Does anyone know?

  • Egads, 10:20 is early! I worry about mine having to eat at 10:45. He's not used to eating that early. At day care he at at 11:00, however at home my DH was feeding him pretty late, like after 12:30 (he was getting up late too though, and feeding him breakfast about 9 or 10). I hope he gets used to it. He barely touched his food while he was there yesterday so DH had to feed him later. Hopefully he'll get used to it though. I'm not gonna keep feeding him extra at home when he's getting a meal there. Won't starve him, but still.

  • I Googled IMIL. It means:

I Am Moving, I Am Learning (IMIL) is a proactive approach for addressing childhood obesity in Head Start children. IMIL seeks to increase moderate to vigorous physical activity every day, improve the quality of movement activities intentionally planned and facilitated by adults, and promote healthy food choices every day.
