are there divorce forms that I can get for free?

Every site says free divorce forms then you click on it and it says just pay$400, $299, or easy payments of .......
That completely goes against the purpose of looking for "free" documents!
If there is anyone that can help me with this that would be great!

  • I think you just go to the courthouse and ask for the papers to file.

  • Under your county's courthouse there should be papers to print out and fill out. The reason why online businesses charge for them is because they fill them out for you. If you go straight to the county courthouse you can get papers but expect fee's for having to use their paper and ink.

Here is a $99 divorce and the paperwork is filled out for you. If you have no experience prior to this filling out court documents, it can become confusing very quickly. http://www.ourdivorceagreement.com

  • That is not what Legal Aid is for. It's to get an attorney pro-bono when you cannot afford one... And there is a wait list (sometimes 3-4 months). If you're in a legal situation that is an emergency, Legal Aid is not for you.
