can i get wic if i am on foodstamps and my kids are 30 and 20 months

  • You can get both but why would you need to? Seems redundant to me and a waste of the states money. Let people who can't get food stamps get the WIC.

  • Mostlikly yes. For your kids though....up until age 5. Mostly if you qualify for food stamps you qualify for wic, you'll be asked to bring your approval letters instead of income notes. Its alot easier that way anyway IMO

  • I had to look up what those programs were and it does seem that they both do the same thing just at different levels. I don't understand whay a family would need both but I'm not totally clear on them any way since I'm not in the US.

  • Yes and after your kids turn 5 you can get MAC till they are 6 years old, it is a free box of food including, juice and cheese, cans of fruit and veggies, cereal, pasta, beans, peanut butter, and canned meat,
