  • Yes, my stepson took Theatre Arts in 7th grade - we thought he would lose interest, but he liked it. Now we are homeschooling and have decided we will put him in a local kids theatre class.

  • Yes, but I allow her to choose her classes and more often than not, she ends up enjoying the class.

  • Nope, we've allowed them to choose their electives and they have chosen ones that they are interested in.

  • Not yet, we talk so much about their likes, dislikes, desires, interests that I would be really shocked if this happened to me.
This year his guidance counselor signed him up for Wood Shop, he went in and told her no way and will be taking Spanish a year earlier (he wanted to take Spanish JR & SR year, but the only other open class besides Wood Shop was Spanish...the class he wanted as an elective was Cultural History)

  • Ours have picked their electives so have been happy from the start. They have been lucky ,their schools have offered zero period starting in eighth through high school.G.T .A.P. math only is offered before school so there is time for an extra elective.Athletes are in the same PE so they are allowed to miss A.M. practice for this class and make up during athletics P.E.. Mine have really enjoyed being able to do all these options.
