  • Parks, markets, festivals, parades, lakes, beaches. We are always on the lookout for cheap things to do as a family.

  • We like to go to the park. We will take a picnic with us and have lunch at the park. It's food and fun for free :-)

There are free friday flicks here sometimes where they show movies after dark for free.

We also go to festivals and things that you can go to for free. :-)

  • There are always free events here, which I love. Just this evening we went to a grand opening of a store. There was face painting, a show for kids, a bounce house, a balooning making guy, free subs, water, ice cream and popcorn. The kids had a blast. We have a lot of free events like this that are similiar which are thrown by the parks district.
We also go to the playland in the mall, Barnes and Noble has storytime, after the story they do an art project. We go to the park a lot. We go to my parents cabin, swim, go tubing, fish etc.

  • Those are all things we like to do also. We live within a couple hours of pretty much anywhere on the Oregon coast, so we go there a lot. Picnics at the park are always fun. And we have movie nights. We rent a movie or two, go to the dollar store and pick out some snacks. (Each of us get to pick 2 things, then we all share them. We get the 10pk of mini candy bars or the big boxes of Mike'n'ikes and stuff like that so there is plenty for all of us.) Then we set up the air mattress in the living room and get all our snacks and watch the movie. We also do family game nights and do the same thing for snacks.
We also like getting the memberships to the zoo and local museums. Like one for the A.C. Gilbert Discovery Village. It's $60 and gets us into that museum for free, two guest passes, discounts on rentals and at the store, PLUS gets us into several other museums for free. Same with the zoo one. Crap..out of space to write...
