Will you freeze anything for later dates that you've made earlier?

I'm baking some pear bread tonight because we were given a ton of pears.

  • I do that ALL the time! Tonight I froze 8 cooked bratwursts, now all I will have to do when we want them is to heat them up. I always make HUGE pots of spaghetti sauce and chili and freeze a couple meals each of those. Pretzel dogs take a long time to bake, so I make a triple batch and freeze those too.
I would guess that I only cook a full meal about half the time, I cook ahead and freeze a lot. It saves sooo much time.

  • I do this quite often. If I get a great deal on a big pack of hamburger I do a big cook day and make meatloaf, meatballs, patties etc and freeze them for future use. And when I make banana bread etc, I always make a double batch and freeze one for later :)
