What do you do to get out of a food rut?

With the triple digit heat and busy summer, we got into such a rut for our dinners. Anyone have any fresh ideas?

  • I make a chicken salad and then put it over pasta. I call it Chicken salad salad. LOL Gets some chuckles and it's super easy to make. :)

  • Watch Foodnetwork - has great ideas. Pick up some cookbooks at the thrift shops (there are always tons of them) - you are bound to find some new recipes.

  • I usually go through my cookbooks, recipes I've collected, and online recipes to see what might be worth giving a try or I'm in the mood to add to my list of menu ideas.
