What for a school lunch?

This place is great. So many smart moms.

So let me ask , what do you send for school lunch?

My daughter is a picky eater- all I could think is:

(1) 1-2 piece of bread, go-gurt, fruit
(2) boiled egg, whole grain crackers, fruit/berries
(3) Mac and cheese/rise with veggies/chicken nuggets (cold, since there is no place to warm it up)
(4) Cold sandwiches- pastrama or so?

What else? She absolutely does not eat pizza ( the only thing her cafeteria seems to have)...

  • my dd likes sandwiches, peanut butter on crackers, Flour tortilla roll up, fruit, yogurt, make your own lunchable with crackers, cheese and lunch meat.

She also likes a thermos with hot stuff like spaghetti or soups & stews.

  • Don't think I'm quite as health consious as you, but lunchables, turkey dogs, pb&J, fresh fruit, hawaiian bread rolls with turkey deli meat, that's all I can think of right now. Good luck!

  • I am scared that things like stew or soup will not be good after 3 and the half hours (it is still pretty warm outside)...but overall thermos is an idea to think.

  • my 3 kids ages 5,6, and 8 love peanut and jelly crackers, or even a sandwich. Chips, cookies,or fruit snacks are good choies. Plus the apples and carrots in the produce dept all ready to go are good. They love capri suns or kool aid jammers to drink. Also trail mix and raisins are good.
