what neat things do u do to remember which breast to nurse from next?

The teacher of a breastfeeding class I took said she used to attach a safty pin to the side of her shirt to help her remember which breast.

I personally never do anything, I try to just remember. Now that she is going a little longer between feedings, it's getting harder for me to remember. What do u do?

  • I made a bracelet with numbered beads and plain ones to represent the time and 1/2 hours on a stretch band. I would put it on the wrist of the breast I needed to nurse on next and put a charm next to the time I nursed last. That way I could tell how long it had been between feedings.

  • I remember because one side is bigger than the other and most of the time leaking (baby is only six weeks old)

  • Here is a pic of it.  Since at the time she was also taking meds, there were 3 plain beads (1/4 hours) inbetween the numbered.  I had 2 charms (1 for nursing and 1 for meds).  once she came off the meds, It was no longer a double strand.

  • I never worried about it...I just nursed from whichever side I wanted to first....What is the point in that exactly?

Does it make one boob bigger or something?

  • A) One boob was bigger than the other and hurt a little by then, B) I wore an elastic hair thingy on my wrist or a wristband, etc., and C) I usually just remembered anyway.
