Daughter just threw up

My 3 yr old just threw up everywhere and she only complained of an upset stomach nothing else and has no fever. I already know what to do for her but it's dinner time and I need some ideas on what to feed her. I know I need to keep it light but what will help keep her stomach settled?

  • wait until she feels like eating, then try the BRAT diet -- bananas, rice, applesauce, toast. Keep it very bland until she is able to keep it down. However, try to get her to sip water, especially if she doesn't eat overnight, she will get dehydrated fast. Popsicles, flat gingerale, gatorade, watered down juice, water, whatever she will drink.
I hope she feels better soon!!

  • Don't push the food if she won't eat. Just have her drink water to stay hydrated

  • Give her something dry like crackers at first.

  • Plain toast.

  • At the very least clear fluids (you don't want to be clean up kool-aid vomit) After that she may not be ready to eat anything until tomorrow unless she asks for something. Hope she feels better soon.

She asked to eat right after she threw up and I bathed her. I'm giving her water now. THANKS LADIES
