UPDATE:PINWORMS and questions??

My son went to the doctor just to confirm what i had already knew. She put the whole family on MEBENDAZOLE um 100mg however she refused to give my 8 month old anything because he has had no signs or sypmtoms and until and if he becomes infected they will not worry about giving it to my youngest which i find a little confusing. Anyways by quesiton is.. How much do i really have to clean? Ive cleaned their room (wiping base boards, dusting, wiping downs beds, LOTS of LYSOL, laundry, and LOTS of CLOROX wipes) Ive cleaned their bathroom as well and i mean i wiped down EVERYTHING! Im slowly working to the living room and kitchen then our room last. How the heck do i clean all the toys? I have some in the dishwasher but what about animals and such? um.. do i need to rewash all his already clean clothes in his closet? (something about the eggs in the air??) im freaking out.. am i going overboard?

  • Evil freakin preschool! We had the same issue last year. Really just bedding and towels need to be washed. And get footed jammies for your kids so they can't "pick" at night, and make the scrub their hands with a nail brush upon waking, before eating, and after toileting. Oh and keep clorox wipes in the bathroom to wipe the toilet handle.

  • i am so sorry! yes you need to clean every surface you have in your home and dont forget the doors and door handles in every room (window sills too - exp where you handle the window) because most germs or in this case worm eggs can get on our hands so easily... no judgement either.. have to take the puppy to the vet tomorrow for her reoccuance of worms... all stuffed animals imo should be pitched.. .if you arent that heartless wash all cloth stuff in HOT water.. the cold possibly wont kill the eggs..if you are talking about live animals - yes bathe them!. worm eggs suck becuase they are microscopic and travel in the air.. honestly they are worse to get rid of than lice even - again i am sorry but
