  • I don't necessarily have a religion.. & I will let my daughters choose theirs if they wish to have one.

  • I teach a 2 and 3 year old sunday school class. I don't think they're too young to learn and they can still make up their own minds when they get older (in a better way, because they'll have all the facts already).

  • I'm really not sure. We're atheists and my kids are still young. I don't want to talk to them about it yet because I don't think they have a solid understanding of fact vs. fiction yet.

  • I have taken my children to church since birth and my daughter was in a class at church from when she was 18 months old. I will raise them in my religon and teach them everything and when they are old enough to make their own choice, they can talk to me if they feel they would like to be doing anything differently.

  • I let mine make up their own minds.  My 17 year old is an atheist and my 13 year old isn't there yet.

  • I took my 5yr old to Sunday School when she started kindergarten, then my almost 2 yr old cried to go, so I let her. They became what their Father was, where we got married.

  • It's an integrated into our family life, we read stories and talk about things that matter to us.

  • My children were all baptized as babies, and periodically attended bible school, sunday school & church services. We also keep an open communication on our beliefs. Although abstract thought is hard for a younger child to grasp, by the time they enter pre-school, they will have friends who will discuss God w/ them. Just make it age appropriate- find some books at the library or your church.

  • When they can comprehend issues, like when they start school, maybe. But then they also need to decide what they want out of religion for themselves.

  • I'm not sure when I'm going to start introducing my son to religion (he's only 2 1/2 now), but I'm going to show him all his options and try to educate him the best I can on what's out there so he can make up his own mind, and no matter what he chooses, as long as he grows into a compassionate, respectful person who understands whatever he accepts or rejects, I'll more than encourage him in his path. :)
