Favoring daddy.... :(

OK so my almost 3 year old has recently totally kicked mommy to the curb - he only wants Daddy to help him, Daddy can fix this or daddy needs to sit by me.. although adorable.. makes me sad.... :( of course I am not seriously upset by this as I know kids go through phases but it has been harder than I thought to take lol!!

  • Awww, I know what you mean! My little 3.5 yr old adores his Daddy. Whenever he is home, I am chopped liver. For a long time, all he wanted was me, so I don't want to be selfish and begrudge Daddy being the hero. I look at it this way, he is going to learn how to be a man from his Daddy, not me. Daddy shows him how to treat a woman, but Mommy shows him how a real woman responds. At this stage, he still wants Mommy to kiss his boo boo's, though. Hopefully I can "man up" when he gets too big for that. LOL

  • BOTH of my boys are the same way. They won't even let me wipe their butts when Daddy's home. Drives me nuts, my DH too... But meh, I don't let it get to me.

  • Both my girls are "mommy's girls" all the way. It bothers my husband sometimes too. They freak out if I don't give them a bath, dress them, brush their hair/teeth, lay down with them... lol Sometimes I wish I had at least one daddy's girl. :) It's probably just a faze. Everybody knows mommies are the best. :)

  • It actually does - like last night I was sitting on the step and he had me get up cause it was closer to daddy, and he needs daddy to eat next to him or play by him or just about everything.... don't get me wrong, I am semi-enjoying being able to do something and get it finished the same night as he is NOT an independent child but at the same time its like hello, what happened to mommys little angel??lol!!
